MTC to give away free data

MTC today announced that it would give each customer 300MB free data starting tomorrow at 8h00 until Friday 22 September 2017.

Mobile operator's chief human capital and corporate affairs officer Tim Ekandjo made the announcement this morning during a press conference called to publicly apologize for the inconveniences customers experienced during the company's system upgrades. “The free data is a token of appreciation to all customers for their loyalty, continued support and to extend an apology for any inconveniences they might have endured during the recent MTC system enhancement,” said Ekandjo. All pre-paid customers will have 48 hours to use the free data and the post-paid customers will have validity until their next bill cycle, while the Turbo boost customers will receive a free turbo boost bundle commensurate to their turbo boost plan. The free data follows the inconveniences, which haunted customers for weeks and led to an outcry.
