Accident claims four lives

FOUR people died in a head on collision on the Otavi-Otjiwarongo road in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi said the accident occured 60km north of Otjiwarongo. Shikwambi said the driver of a Corolla sedan, which was coming from the south, tried to overtake a truck, but collided with another oncoming truck, which was transporting cattle. The sedan's four occupants were all killed. Three of the deceased have been identified as driver Martin Shatilwe (21) Toini Magano Iimbili (44) and Elizabeth Kasanga Kilino (28). The fourth deceased has not yet been identified. The deceased' next of kin have been informed.
