SME Bank employees demonstrate against closure

AT LEAST 50 employees of the troubled SME Bank demonstrated in front of the bank's offices against the proposed closure of the entity.

During the demonstration, Namibia Financial Institutions Union (Nafinu) secretary general Asnath Zamuee handed over a petition to a representative of the trade ministry, Gabriel Sinimbo. Expressing their dissatisfaction, the workers said they want the Bank of Namibia to arrest those involved in the disappearance of the millions of dollars invested in South Africa.
