Three die in crash near Windhoek

THREE people died and three others sustained injuries in a head on collision on the Windhoek-Hosea Kutako International Airport road this morning.

The crash involving a Toyota Corolla taxi and a VW caddy happened about 2km from the roadblock. The taxi with only the driver, was travelling from the airport and the VW with five occupants - two adults, two teenagers and a toddler - were going in the opposite direction. Both drivers and one adult died on the spot. Police on the scene said they believe the two adults in VW are husband and wife and parents of the surviving passengers. "One of the girls were asking if their father and mother are okay so I think the deceased are married," the officer said.
