NEEEF is a Swapo policy – Geingob

President Hage Geingob yesterday said the development and passing of the New Equitable Economic Empowerment Framework is a Swapo Party initiative, and the party will never deviate from the principle of having a more equitable economy.

He said this at the opening of the second Swapo Party policy conference which kicked off yesterday. The first one took place from 9 to 12 September 2012.

The head of state added that he had invited those who are against NEEEF to submit their proposals on how to address the income gap in Namibia. He also emphasised that despite progress, Namibia remains one of the most unequal societies in the world.
