A young man accused of having carried out a sexual attack on three schoolgirls at Okahandja in September 2010 was found guilty on five counts of rape and two other charges in the Windhoek High Court yesterday.
Acting judge Boas Usiku convicted Rudolf Goagoseb (24) on seven of the eight charges on which he stood trial after finding that it had been proven that Goagoseb was the person who accosted three schoolgirls at Okahandja on 29 September 2010, threatened them with a broken bottle, forced them to a bushy area, and then sexually assaulted them.
Two of the girls were twelve years old at the time of the incident, while the third was 14 years of age
