University of Namibia students who have outstanding fees have signed themselves into a corner by agreeing to write examinations on condition that they will pay by 31 December, failure of which would result in the nullification of their results.
This was announced at a press conference held at the institution's main campus in Windhoek yesterday. The agreement came after a two-day demonstration by Unam students across the country, following an announcement by the university that those who fail to settle at least 50% of their fees' arrears would not sit for the examinations.
