Satellite images show devastation in Aleppo

Amnesty International released new satellite imagery on Wednesday showing that more than 110 sites were hit in two weeks of bombing raids in Syria's battleground city of Aleppo.

The rights group said there was evidence that Russian-made cluster munitions, which are banned under international conventions, had been used in civilian-populated areas of eastern Aleppo in the past three weeks.

The heavy bombardment of Aleppo by Russian and Syrian warplanes are "part of a deliberate military strategy to empty the city of its inhabitants and seize control," Amnesty said.
