Woman suffocates daughter (3)

A single mother from Swakopmund is expected to appear in the regional court today on a murder charge after she allegedly suffocated her three-year-old daughter with a piece of cloth on Monday.
She then allegedly tried to commit suicide by burning both herself and the body of the baby in a vehicle at Mile 108 on the same day. Erongo acting regional crime investigations coordinator, detective chief inspector Erastus Iikuyu, confirmed the incident to The Namibian yesterday.
