Mannetjies Roux named best-ever Griquas player

Former Springbok centre Mannetjies Roux has been honoured as the best player in the history of the Griqualand West Rugby Union.
Roux received the honour this past weekend as Griquas celebrated their 130th anniversary.
Roux also received Griquas’ best backline player of all time award, while the victorious Currie Cup side of 1970 - which Roux captained - was one of three teams that achieved milestones.
The others were the sides of 1979 and 1998.
