Coastal Biodiversity Week at the coast

This week is Coastal Biodiversity Week at Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and Henties Bay.
The weeklong event is organised by the Namibian Coast Conservation and Management Project (NACOMA) and aims to raise awareness of marine and coastal biodiversity.
The event coincides with the International Day for Biological Diversity, which was celebrated globally on May 22. Namibia is a signatory to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
Paulina Engelbrecht, Environmental Officer from the Swakopmund Municipality concluded the following: ‘’The biodiversity week organisation that come together and organise activities for the environmental sustainability and awareness.’’
