'Uncle Koos' dies

World renowned surrealist Namibian artist Koos van Ellinckhuijzen died at Swakopmund yesterday at the age of 74. The late Ellinckhuijzen was most noted for his work on Namibian and South West African postage stamps. He has exhibited in both Namibia and the USA. According to long-time friend and neighbour Linda Louw, who is also a famous artist and photographer, the deceased apparently has no family in Namibia.
