Hurricane Newton leaves two dead in Mexico

Hurricane Newton triggered a large swell off Mexico's Baja California peninsula that sank a shrimp fishing boat on Tuesday, leaving two people dead and three others missing, authorities said. The two bodies were recovered on Las Barrancas beach near La Ribera and Cabo Pulmo, said Los Cabos civil protection director Marco Antonio Vazquez.
