'Toks en Tjops' broadcast live from Swakopmund

The popular South African Afrikaans sports television programme, 'Toks en Tjops' was for the first time broadcast live from Swakopmund on Friday. The programme covers recent sports highlights, music as well as braai recipes by Tommy Dickson, well-known as Chef Vaatjie. One of the topics tackled during the live show, broadast from the Strand Hotel, was how to improve Namibian rugby. Producer Liebie Opperman concluded the following: ‘’There are so many stories to tell in Namibia, it has been a 3 year mission for this TV show to get here. If we happen to be here next year I would like to work with people that want to be in the film making industry just for them to see the effort t it takes for one to run this show.’’
