City freezes new jobs

The Windhoek Municipality has stopped employing new workers in order to save costs and to review their workforce structure. An internal memo written by the city's acting chief executive officer Fillemon Hambuda on the 12th of August this year shows that the municipality is concerned that the human resources division was flooded with proposals to appoint new officials within the city.
