About one-thousand five-hundred farmers in the Daures, Karibib and Walvis Bay constituencies will benefit from Grass and Lucerne to be distributed as of today until the the 15th of August.

The regional council is currently in negotiations with stakeholders regarding the launch of a sustainable drought relief programme with the beneficiaries being farmers with no more than one-hundred cattle.

Natalia /Goagoses, the Chief Regional officer for the Erongo Region concluded the following: "Due to the limited fund we are only assisting farmers with less than a 100 cattle’s. Those with a few cattle we have seen that we should at least help them by rescuing a few cattle’s."
