THE two sisters hospitalised after their shack burnt last week, in Greenwell Matongo in Windhoek are responding to treatment, while police were forced to release the man who is accused of setting their shack alight due to insufficient evidence. The man, whose name can still not be released due to the fact that he has not appeared in court, was released on Friday afternoon. He had been in police custody since Wednesday last week after he was brought in for questioning following the incident. Police spokesperson Slogan Matheus yesterday said after speaking to several people, they still could not get concrete proof that he was the one behind the shack fire that left the two sisters, Hilda Thomas (27) and Auleria Thomas (25), fighting for their lives in the intensive care units of two hospitals.
