Sisters in ICU after shack burns

AN ANGRY man allegedly set fire to a shack in Greenwell Matongo, Windhoek, on Sunday night, burning the two sisters who are currently fighting for their lives in hospital burnt. The man, who was dating one of the sisters, 27-year-old Hilda Thomas, was arrested and is being held at the Wanaheda Police Station. A Police spokesperson yesterday said a case of attempted murder and arson was opened, while another spokesperson, said the suspect might be released within 48 hours if police cannot link him to the arson. Hilda is at the Windhoek Central Hospital's intensive care unit, while her sister, Auleria Thomas (25), is at the Katutura Intermediate Hospital.
