Family hands over Otjomuise murder suspect to police

A MAN was arrested on Tuesday evening at Tsumeb for the alleged murder of his girlfriend in Otjomuise, after family members made a citizens' arrest.
The 25-year-old suspect allegedly killed 20-year-old Janet Daniella Haoses on Monday afternoon after a quarrel. Oshikoto regional police commander, commissioner Anna-Marie Nainda confirmed that the suspect is in custody.
The suspect was brought to the station by family members after he tried to commit suicide here at Tsumeb at the family home by drinking acid. She added that it is believed that the suspect is originally from Tsumeb, and was in a relationship with Haoses for six years.
