Erongo receives donation of equipment and materials

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare yesterday donated equipment and materials worth N$500 000 to 38 beneficiaries with upcoming and existing income generating projects in Swakopmund.

The Ministry is funding community projects as a way of creating employment opportunities throughout the country, with the mandate of improving conditions for women and children as well as elevating the status of Namibian women and girls.

Beneficiaries will also receive training on how to use their equipment as well as basic business management.

Lucia Witbooi, Deputy Minister of Gender Equality and Child welfare concluded the following:‘’That’s why we give you this equipments , your business should grow and employ two or more people. Challenges will always be there don’t collapse don’t surrender with your first challenges.’’
