200 Disabled receives soup in Swakop

The Ministry of Poverty Eradication on Monday joined forces with I Care Soup Kitchen to feed more than 200 disabled elders and children in Mondesa, Swakopmund.
The I Care soup kitchen strives to help those in need and supports the fight against poverty. The elderly in particular appreciated the gesture and expressed the hope that youth members will join hands and pledge to eradicated poverty in the respective communities.
Grace Amuyela, from the I Care soup kitchen concluded the following: ‘’Today is a special day to my elders; most of the youth don’t look after their elders. We are reminding them that we still care for them.’’
