ERONGO governor Cleophas Mutjavikua said a Namibian−German partnership has proposed developing a de-salination plant north of Henties Bay in the foreseeable future.
In his state of the region address on Friday at Swakopmund, Mutjavikua said plans include a non−toxic jatropha plant production facility. He also said the desalination plant would have enough capacity to supply Uis, Okombahe and Henties Bay. Jathropha is considered an excellent source of biofuel that is well−adapted to arid environments.
