Body part found in search for EgyptAir plane

The Greek defence minister has said that Egyptian authorities say they have spotted a body part, 2 seats and suitcases in search for the EgyptAir plane.

Panos Kammenos said that other aircraft participating in the search had allegedly reported more findings in another area, but currently have no official confirmation that they belong to the plane in question.

Egypt's military said its search teams found wreckage on Friday from the EgyptAir plane that crashed in the Mediterranean with 66 people on board.

The airline has said the search was no longer a rescue operation, but a recovery.
