Gochas residents protest over boy's murder

OUTRAGED residents of the Gochas settlement near Mariental yesterday took to the streets to express bitterness over the recent brutal stoning murder of eight−year−old Petrus Frey.

Frey’s body was found in the bushes two weeks ago by a passer−by, a day after he had gone missing from home. Police deputy commissioner Joseph Gaseb yesterday said no suspect has been arrested yet in connection with the boy’s murder. In a petition handed over to the police, the protesters said the boy’s murder has not only robbed the Gochas community but the nation of a future leader.
