NAMIBIA Wildlife Resorts will spend more than N$300 000 on a management retreat to be held at Gross Barmen resort just outside Okahandja.

The parastatal has booked all the 47 rooms at the resort for three days. The retreat that started yesterday is being attended by executive and middle managers, the parastatal’s board of directors and all camp managers. The necessity to host such a retreat while the entity could be making much−needed money was questioned. Sources said the company will spend N$300 000 just for the rooms and food, while expenses for beverages and transport will push the bill close to N$500 000. The company’s executive management also undertook similar trips to the Sesriem Campsite last week.
