THE fight over a Windhoek family house between two siblings is not over yet as the evicted sister returned to the property, hours after she was evicted.

Theresia Garoes (37) moved her belongings back into the house in Gemengde, Katutura on Tuesday evening after her sister, Adeline Keis (58), had earlier obtained an eviction order against her. Garoes had been staying in the house which belonged to their father since birth. She lived there with her husband, five children, two grandchildren and an aunt. The family was assisted to move back into the house by some community members and Katutura East constituency councillor Ruben Sheehama. The councillor yesterday said he is helping the family because it makes him very unhappy to see people out in the street.
These are our people; we cannot leave them like that. This is why, as a councillor, I stepped in to try and resolve this issue, he said, adding that he had accompanied Garoes to the Office of the Ombudsman.
