ASANRA launch 5 year strategic plan

The Association of Southern African Road Agencies (ASANRA) yesterday unveiled their 5 year strategic plan during their 28th board meeting hosted in Swakopmund.
ASANRA was established in 2001 in line with the SADC protocol on transport, communication and meteorology with the aim of creating a sustainable regional road transport system that is on par with international standards. The 5 year strategic plan sets out to develop, harmonize and promote technical, administrative, regulatory and operational standards, specifications and practices.
Conrad Lutombi the president of ASANRA and the CEO of the Namibian Road Authority concluded the following: ‘’ASANRA seeks to ensure the development of a safe, sustainable ,efficient and effective road transport system in support of social-economic growth of development and ultimately poverty alleviation.’’
