Swakop LRC given training on suicide

The Learner’s Representative councils (LRC) of Swakopmund Secondary, Coastal high and the Atlantic Junior Secondary school yesterday were given training by Uhilli Necessity Wellness.

The session focused on the types of suicide, the causes of suicide and the prevention of suicide and aimed to create awareness and identify possible symptoms of a person suffering from suicidal thoughts.

Nicky Meiring a clinical physiologist concluded the following: ‘’People seems to have a lack of knowledge about so many things, so I think this is important to them to know how and why in terms of taking your own life, They will be able to pick up some warning signs.’’
