Rossing Uranium Limited held its national marathon championship for the 26th time, with 94 athletes, last week Saturday in Swakopmund.

The main objective is to promote and create awareness of a healthy lifestyle. Reonard Namupala and Alina Armas Namupala were again this year’s winners in the 42 km challenge in the male and female categories.

Botha Ellis, the advisor of cooperate communication at Rossing Uranium concluded the following: ‘’Most of all we want to increase the standards of our athletes in Namibia to help prepare them for international competitions. The current president of Athletics Namibia makes it clear that she wants Namibian athletes to be competitive and win at the international stage, we hope we contribute to that.
