The Swakopmund Community Skills Development Centre’s (COSDEC) trainees of the joinery and carpentry course donated equipment to a pre-primary and day care centre recently in Mondesa Swakopmund. The equipment was made by the trainees as part of their curriculum.
Every year the centre has to get rid of the equipment, to be able to accommodate new trainees. The Ngaturihonge pre-primary and day care approaced cosdec last year for assistance and was identified as the beneficiary of the chairs and tables.
Marilyn Eibes the Centre Manager of Cosdec concluded the following:
‘’We as a centre have a community obligation towards the community, we give back to the people in need within our community and this is something we want to do. Next time we will identify another beneficiary in need.’’
