Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, the Central African Republic and Lesotho are among the world’s 10 most unequal countries - in which the richest 10% of the population own half of the combined wealth.
It has been reported that although it is the job of policymakers to deal with this issue in Namibia, they in fact form part of this elite.
According to Social Commentator Herbert Jauch while some slight improvements have been made through programmes to alleviate poverty and the inequality between rich and poor, there haven’t been deliberate and concrete efforts to make a change.
