Pre-retirement workshop for Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education had more than 60 participants at the Erongo Region pre-retirement workshop last week Friday in Swakopmund.

With a high number of teachers going on early retirement and coming back for teaching, the ministry saw a need to educate teachers on how to manage their pension fund and how the process of retirement operates.

‘’The Human Resource department has set three objectives to inform the pensioners of the benefits of and after retirement. Second objective was to prepare the pensioners physiologically for retirement and the third one was to provide information on how to plan for retirement and also how to budget their finances - we say goodbye tension hello pension’’ concluded Mrs Z .Martin-Plaatjies from the directorate of the Ministry of Education in the Erongo Region.
