Swakop Elder’s water and electricity bills to be paid.

The Swakopmund local authority received a donation of N$150 000 from the Knowledge Katti foundation on the 10 September in Swakopmund.

The N$150 000 will be used to pay the overdue water and electricity bills of the elders of Swakopmund. The Governor of the Erongo Region urged all local businesses to make an example of Knowledge Katti. ‘’Food bank is when willing citizens are prepared to give back to the community and yes poverty eradication can be done’’ said the Mayor of Swakopmund, Nehemia Salomon.

‘’The aim of the N$150 000 is to cover for the debts of the elder’s water and electricity bills and the roll out program will be done with the assistance of the Regional Councillors and the Mayor of Swakopmud ‘’concluded the Governor of the Erongo Region Cleophas Mutjavikua.
