Swakopmund Against crime is established

With house breaking being the major crime in Swakopmund the residents has gathered to elect the committee of the newly established Swakopmund against crime group on the 13 August.
Swakopmund against crime group is a neighbourhood watch group working with the Namibian police with the aim of making Swakopmund a safer place and eradicating crimes as well. Crime is on an increasing everyday and Swakopmund against crime is asking for the community members to join them.

‘’If we have to achieve pro active policing we have to engage the community, they have to play a role in their own safety as citzen. We appreciate the community that are standing up and forming structures’’ concluded Shabumba a surgeant from the Namibian police of the community affairs.
