Kamwandi to join ‘My Trash My Treasure’ creative competition.

The Kamwandi Junior Secondary school received a visit from the Swakopmund and Walvisbay municipalities together with NaDEET, for the Introduction of ‘My Trash My Treasure’ creative competition last week in Henties Bay.
The ‘My Trash My Treasure’ creative competition is whereby all coastal schools compete against each other in making valuables out of recyclables. ’’The aim is to raise awareness and the usefulness of waste materials’’ says Nangula Amutenya Amasti, the environmental coordinator at the department of Water, Waste and Environmental Management of the Walvis Bay municipality.
This is the third year of this competition with prizes available for the best creative items. The competition is open to all coastal schools and the winners will be announce in September this year.
