Newly elected Mayor of Swakopmund

The newly elected mayor of Swakopmund, Nehemia Salomon, stated that he does not take pride in being called the Mayor but to subscribe himself to the principles of service delivery especially with the current trend in which Namibians are in quest for land and shelter.

‘’I still emphasise the fact that what makes you important is not your position but your action’’ reiterated the new mayor of Swakopmund who was sworn in at the council chamber in Swakopmund.

Eric Shitana was also sworn in as a new member of the management council committee with 4 months to prove themselves to the Swakopmund residents. Elections will be held by the end of the year and will determine whether they hold their new positions.
